Through many years of working within the construction industry, of which I’ve also spent several years in the UK, I could get a very broad view of the challenges of construction today and gain specific domain knowledge. Working in the digitalization team of Lindner Group has introduced me to the concept of Self-Sovereign Identity and seen its potential. Since then, we have developed a SSI-based solution for construction site access together with esatus AG and the Lindner Group. As product owner of this solution I’m very much engaged and interested in driving this topic forward. Our initial goal is to reduce time-consuming paperwork on construction sites, whilst focusing on the protection of data of the people involved, and also to offer a user-friendly and sustainable solution to all parties – all under the aspect of data sovereignty in a decentralized system.
