Jaana is a Senior Lead at Nordic Business Technology company Sofigate, with close to 25-years of experience in data-driven business development and stakeholder engagement. Her insider view from SITRA, Finland’s future fund – a nationally and internationally influential think tank, gives fresh insight into European development for a fair data economy. The key results from her recent, MyData inspired, IHAN® project are associated with the promotion of data-driven business models, technical experiments and measures related to individuals’ digital everyday life.
She considers herself as Jeanne d’Arc of fair data economy and delivers high-energy presentations that challenge audiences to think about more their digital futures. She is an experienced leader, a practitioner of servant leadership and always curious to learn more and challenge the status quo. Her passion for data literacy and data-driven strategy refinement origins to late 90s, when she worked at SAS, the leader in analytics. She is a certified Enterprise Architect and co-author of a book on information architecture in health domain and has been quoted in numerous publications.
She loves to travel, but returning to archipelago, to the captain’s house from 1888 is equally good, if not even better. Long walks in the woods with her two rescue dogs, horseback riding and gardening are her favourite ways to escape on imaginary trips. The seasoning for her life? Good, lively and long homemade dinners with friends and colleagues, preferably in her garden, under the aged chestnut tree.
