Maximilian Gahntz is a Senior Policy Researcher with the Mozilla Foundation’s Insights team. His work focuses on questions related to data governance and artificial intelligence policy and he currently leads the team’s research on alternative approaches to data governance.
Previously, he was a fellow of the Mercator Fellowship on International Affairs, working on the governance of artificial intelligence with Mozilla and the European Commission. He holds degrees in Public Policy and Public Administration from Columbia University, Sciences Po Paris and the University of Konstanz.
