Miapetra Kumpula-Natri is a Member of European Parliament from the S&D Group specializing in digital issues. She has recently been active in the European Parliament’s Special Committee on Artificial Intelligence (AIDA) and the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE), especially on issues of data and artificial intelligence. She has played a leading role in the key pieces of European digital regulatory agenda. She was responsible for drafting the European Parliament’s strategy for Data, and she represented her group in the Data Governance Act and the world’s first AI Act. Currently, she serves as the shadow rapporteur for the Data Act.
