Teemu Kääriäinen is a senior advisor in the Finnish Ministry of Finance Public Sector ICT department. Teemu currently contributes to the Finnish digital identity development program where the goal is to develop national digital identification regulation, coordinate eIDAS and EUDI Toolbox work, and to lead the cross-border SSI piloting initiatives from national perspective. Teemu has over 15 year experience with digital identities e.g. as technical architect in Nokia and as lead security specialist in Nixu Cybersecurity. Teemu is also a post-graduate student and part-time researcher in Aalto University School of Electrical Engineering and he is writing his doctoral dissertation on decentralised identity methods and their governance models.
